Truth stood on the corner
Crying out for her lost child, Justice
Wailing pitifully and watching
Watching the bashing of her sister, Hope
Watching the erosion of her cousin, Creed.

While Reality was being robbed by a nephew
Truth wondered if they had ever been related.

Faith stood on the corner
Catching occasional glimpses of recognition
Hoping not to be sold like an ancient stamp
Hoping not to be traded like a kid's baseball card
Seeking only an unwavering heart to abide in.

Love stood on the corner
Holding out its arms of comfort
Finding its pockets being picked by
People interested in pursuing simple pleasure

Love yet continues to call out for
Anyone interested in leaving anger and anguish
Anyone interested in a gift greater than gold

Truth, Faith and Love
Do we yet leave them standing on the corner?
